Baked Seitan "Ribs"

Mmm ribs!!

These are made with kneaded, seasoned, wheat gluten and then baked. Glaze with a your favorite yummy BBQ sauce.
MMM! :)

BBQ sauce is the literally only thing we have in our house right now that has high fructose corn syrup in it. Does anyone know a good brand without it??

High fructose corn syrup is the devil.

I hate HFCS... But these vegan ribbies, they are goooooooood!

I had no idea you had this blog. I have to say I'm impressed - except for this particular recipe which scares the crap out of me. Do I WANT wheat gluton in the shape of a rib? I don't know. It confuses me!

Oh...Eddie wants to know if the baby will be vegan too? :)

Do you have a Whole Foods? They have vegan BBQ sauce options, all without HFCS!

Nope Melissa, no Whole Foods. Right now I live in Germany, it's hard enough to even find BBQ sauce at all!
And I can't believe THE Urban Housewife commented on MY blog!
I've been pushing your candy corn recipe to all my vegfriends! ;)

Annie's Naturals has a bbq that is vegan and hfcs free! They have a website (just type in Annie's naturals and it will pop up), but I don't know if they ship to Germany. I know what you mean, I hate the stuff. I feel like I'm killing myself when I eat it. I spent $5 on a loaf of bread just b/c it didn't have hfcs...

I second the Whole Foods BBQ sauce suggestion. Their 365 organic ones are awesome!

Bulls Eye is HFCS-free. And of course it's just personal taste, but I find it to be much tastier than Annie's!

Hmmm... Did Bulls Eye change the recipe?
I am pretty sure I can get Bulls Eye!
